For about 40 years, he was known on-air and in the recording studios as Chuck Riley and became one of the top voice over talents in America (CBS, many movie trailers, Ford, Coors, Entertainment Tonight, signature voice of dozens of top radio and TV stations, etc). With the help of friend and KATI DJ Sarge McClintock, Wilson left for KOOK in Billings in 1962. After moving back to OSU to receive a masters degree, he went to work for KRAV radio in Tulsa, where he spent 10 years climbing from part-time shifts, production director, program director, to ultimately morning show personality. On February 9, 1971, he had just begun his morning show at 6:00a.m. when the San Fernando earthquake occurred.
