Ironically, Balvenie Castle has outlasted its successor. From £3.60 per ticket Balvenie Castle is a ruined castle near Dufftown in the north of Aberdeenshire. It's just a very short walk up a scenic country road. A new house, Balvenie New House, was built half a mile to the north and by 1720 the castle was abandoned and had already started to fall into decay. We will also stop in the village of Grantown on Spey.
Avoid the hustle and bustle of a larger coach group and tour in comfort and privately round the highlands in a 7 or 16 seat minibus. Sadly, Balvenie Castle failed to stand the test of time and the changing needs and fashions of the day.
