FILM REVIEW: Canada's foreign-language submission is a searing classroom drama about grief that should be an Oscar front-runner. Monsieur Lazhar, for his part, is initially consumed by finding his footing in the classroom. He channels his feelings into reaching these students. Overall, this is a strong film in a problematic genre.
