Being between two enormous cities also has a serious side effect of lots of traffic unfortunately! The Dr. Beach list of 2020’s Top 10 Beaches leans heavily on the East Coast with representation from Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, and Massachusetts.

It boasts several shopping malls with lots of wonderful places to eat from sweet to savory. Also, the school district here is a tyrannical and a one size fits all kinda place which is not helpful for kids that are beyond their grades. This mellow seaside city and has a wonderfully laid-back vibe, great food, and even better wine pouring down from the many nearby vineyards. At the base of the lifeguard tower, the Siren Canteen is a small restaurant that serves cold beer and small snacks from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There are also some popular tourist attractions such as South Coast Plaza, which is a great place for anyone to visit! The city is very family friendly! As someone who has lived and been to school in Temecula, I can no doubt say that I have enjoyed life here. Downtown is also a good place to get good food, I recommend Rice by Mama, which is Thai food. There are tons of events, great food scene and nightlife (although since covid it's been a little harder to explore these areas). It is for me.Sacramento has an excellent bar and restaurant scene, as well as a flourishing network of farmer's markets supplied with produce from the region.
Santa Clara has a surprisingly provincial compared to neighbor Sunnyvale which feels busier, or Mountain View which is, like Palo Alto, rather more elitist. The schools are amazing with twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, and three high schools including two private schools.Lived in Maywood Park since 2005.
