Almost anyone who can be linked with positive-thinking appears in "One Simple Idea," including Ronald Reagan. Step by step guide to really get into the doors of the big companies for licensing deals.Stephen outlined each topic in his book with simple action steps average people can follow.The themes that drive this book are;Effort,Due Diligence,Research,and Creativity.Idea of the book is great, but very difficult to read. A lot of interesting information, but almost too much at times. I received more useful information and guidance from my coach on the first call, than I had received from all three of the business consultants I’d worked with in the past. It's full of so much information about licensing that it's going to be my go-to reference for any licensing projects going forward. After Quimby, we learn about Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, who preached that "evil and sickness were unreal," and Emma Curtis Hopkins, whom Mr. Horowitz describes as a "mystic, a suffragist, and a brilliant student of Christian Science," a compliment as jarring as describing a contemporary anti-evolutionist as a brilliant student of creation science. The book examined the pioneers and leaders in this field. Overall, I really Very interesting book. The Mind and Brain by Jeffrey M. Schwartz is a must read. I was interested to read the about the philosophical, political and business aspects of poThis was a well researched book. The licensing deal was signed in March and I received my royalty check a month later! My image of him is really tarnished. No I do not. Am I a millionaire? One Simple Idea book. So according to ONE SIMPLE IDEA I not not engaging in positive thought or "New Thought" or at least I'm not doing it properly. He's careful to not leave any stone unturned. Positive thinking is apparently all America needed. The middles chapters cover the history of the wide range of the pioneers of positive thinking. have simply repackaged the idea of using "positive thinking" over and over.

I love the idea that thoughts are forces. I thought this was a great history of the positive thinking movement. Another appealing part of this book is the biographical information on perhaps lesser-known figures like Vernon Howard and Neville. Some links in the books are not available anymore. If you read this book you will notice the influence of New Thought/positive thinking everywhere, and, as such, this book will chanIf you've ever wondered where the "positive thinking" craze, or movement, of today comes from then this is the book for you. The history begins in the 1800s with Mary Baker Eddy and shows the development of thoughts that lead to their contemporary development which includes a lengthy discussion of understanding President Ronald Reagan. I got really excited when the publisher contacted me to review this book--and I was not disappointed. He spills the dirt on people previously held in dizzyingly high esteem or perhaps given major benefits of the doubt since we knew nothing really about them except their names. Mr. Horowitz notes that Reagan's famously cheerful disposition led him to ignore unwelcome information that was uncheerful.
It would be nice if all it took to cure our ills and make us rich was one simple idea. Depite frenquently plugging the standard self-help line of "...live the life of your dreams if you follow these X# simple steps..." I found the content exactly what I wanted to hear: a detailed guide through the product development for licensing process. The middle third got a bit muddled, with a series of short biographies of major players, and then a chapter about Reagan that was probably relevant but I didn't feel the relevance was made clear. Despite being interesting, it just did not really hit the highest mark, yet maybe it wasn’t meant to?Eh... this book was interesting and offered a very simple method for potentially getting your ideas to market.Eh... this book was interesting and offered a very simple method for potentially getting your ideas to market.In terms of useful content I'd give it a five star rating. It feels like Mitch Horowitz has gotten to know all our favorite characters and unearthed some new ones in minor roles.
