I booked the room over the phone because when traveling with a pet it's always good to make sure the hotel is in fact pet friendly. Whenever you come, as soon as you get there they give you a package of Danish cookies and you get a pass for free breakfast at the ... wasn't my first choice but everything else was sold out and this place was close to being sold out too, so I booked it. We got food-to-go and ate on the patio while the pugs greeted passersby-super annoying! Highly recommend it!This location was our first choice. I received a message from this property shortly after booking, letting me know that their pool was being refurbished. A huge private patio enough to hold 10 or more people (but that's a NO in Covid times). The staff promptly gave us a new room, but that one also had an old motel smell to it. We really are in the heart of the Danish Village of Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley Wine Country.
