Was in downtown Calgary for a convention yesterday and met up with friends for a late lunch at The Bank and Baron. The Bank and Baron is located in the heart of Calgary's infamous Stephen Avenue, the pulse of downtown. The local is gorgeous and the food stands to it as well. Thanks Max!The atmosphere is so nice. We shared steak bites and seared albacore poke, the steak bites were absolutely scrumptious....Very impressive place, great service and delicious food. This establishment is sited in a former bank and has great ambience. Excellent food and a great range of artisan beers in lovely surroundings and with top notch service - fast and friendly .. The building is stunning, the food was great but it was the service that stood above it all. A great place. We just came here for a pre-dinner drink during happy hour, when the prices are reasonable. Burger was good too!I was part of a large group that was at this restaurant for our closing night party. Our venue brings a unique opportunity to our guests giving them the chance to wine and dine with friends, family, co-workers, and clients all while enjoying a little piece of history. We got table with no reservation. Decor was gorgeous, as the name implies... an old bank turned into a restaurant. Nice architectural details remained from the old bank. Dueling Pianos after dinner was...popped in here as couldn't decide where else to eat and what a lovely surprise. Can highly recommendI was in Calgary for corporate meetings, and a group of 10 of us had a reservation for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Our group organizer had called earlier to check out options for our group, and was offered the chandelier room for $500, and...The pub is in old bank so it's nice venue, the bathroom is different and nice. Good portions, moderate prices. The music was so loud it was hard to hear the conversations. The service was prompt and friendly. Food was nice and drinks cheap. This grand space has been unlocked and a new downtown landmark awaits you. Our flatbreads were delicious and the beer battered fries were crunchy. We were staying at the Fairmont so the location of the restaurant was great but the food was disappointing.
When we were shown our table we were...Beautiful venue for a wedding reception. All of the Romaine was browning and I had to pick it out.

The service was friendly and casual. Food was good but service was slow.
