But in my opinion no game looks visually more impressive than Gears of War 2. Thats a tough comparison because in all honesty part 2 looks about the same as 1 with some lighting upgrades. And as you can see they don't have any clear particle effects, aside from the smoldering ash. Keep in mind Uncharted 2 was not developed to be ‘photo-realistic’ and none-the-less it has done a pretty awesome job. by the way uncharted 3 and killzone 3 don't use real 3d they use fake 3d just like crysis 2. the only true stereoscopic 3d AAA title on ps3 is gt5. Fire and explosions, which Uncharted lacks none of, has received a drastic improvement in Uncharted 3. In my opinion, she looks the worst in Uncharted 2.

There is no denying Uncharted 3 is one of the best looking games of 2011, but we've always hailed the Uncharted series as some of the best looking games in the industry.

With the new engine, fire in Uncharted 3 looks more real than ever. UC1 looks fairly good but, just as a reference, KZ2 blows it out the water with ease, and we know UC2 is already topping KZ2 in the visual department. We still haven't seen Agent or The Last Guardian. We've seen The Last Guardian, and whilst it looks great, it doesn't look leaps and bounds better than Killzone or Uncharted. He's got wrinkles in his forehead; he's got a rough 5 o'clock shadow. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was weak on lighting effects, blocky, and very light on the textures and plant detail. In Uncharted 3 she has more of a softer, rounder face.
